Playing around with using MTOS and really enjoying it.
I saw recently that the Movable Type Community Solution is going to be shortly released with a personal license option... will this either: be released as an open source program too, or work with an existing Movable Type Open Source installation?

The upcoming version of MTCS for personal and commercial use will not be released, at least initially, under an open source license. The goal will be to make the software affordable to as many people as possible depending on their usage scenario.
You can anticipate though that over time its features will slowly make their way into the core product.
As for support on MTOS - technically it should work, but it won't be a supported configuration.
Is there a date set for the releasee?
